Santa Fe home prices may be going up in the next few months, making this the ideal time to buy.

That the opinion of title company executive Alan Ball, who puts out a monthly newsletter on local real estate.

In the November issue, Ball says buying a house, at least for first-timers, has been made easier by the federal homebuyer tax credit. He adds that second-home buyers are still coming to Santa Fe and buying real estate and locals are moving up, “just not as fast as we all want.”

The good news, Ball states, is that the time to buy will continue for a few more months. “After that you will have waited too long. Price increases are likely to begin just months into the new year,” he said.
